Welcome to Promised Land Acres! Our love for bee keeping started in 2017 with our daughter; she was the Dodge-Jefferson Beekeeper high school scholarship winner and we gained so much wisdom and knowledge from the more senior beekeepers in the area, most importantly Wally Nass, her mentor for our first year in beekeeping. We started beekeeping at our home in the city of Watertown while we searched of our forever home in the county (this search actually began over 20 years ago). In 2024, we finally found "The Promised Land." The purchase of our new property allowed us to bring all of our hives to one location rather than scattered all over Dodge/Jefferson County. We currently have 20 hives on our property just north of Watertown in the Town of Emmett. Our honey is “small batch honey” that is cold filtered, never heated, and always chemical free. Nothing is added, no flavors or infusions - Just raw honey! The extraction process is done on our property and while others may blend their honey into one big tank (that takes much less time) we spend a crazy amount of effort extracting each hive, one at a time. But we think it’s worth it and are confident you can taste the difference in our honey. Our honey has even won a couple awards at the Dodge County Fair! Promised land Acres is more than just honey; we also grow (according to many customers' reviews) the best asparagus! We have an acre of chemical free asparagus and hope we can share with Farm to Porch next Spring. We also have a small apple orchard that was neglected for several years, that we are trying to bring back to life and should have apples and cider to sell in the fall.
